Ukraine Visa Types

There are three types of Ukrainian Visas:

  • Transit (B Type) Visas:
    If you want to transit through Ukraine, and the transit period does not exceed five days, you need to apply for this type of Visa.
  • Short-term (C Type) Visas:
    If you plan on staying in Ukraine for up to 90 days within every 180 days, you should apply for this type of Visa. These visas are issued in single, double, or multiple visas, valid for six months.
  • Long-term (D type) Visas:
    If you plan on staying in the country for more than 90 days, you will need to have a temporary residence permit; in such a case, you will need to apply for long-term visas. These visas are issued as multiple entry visas valid for 90 days.

Ukraine Online Visa

Ukraine grants online Ukraine eVisa (short term visas) for tourism, business, medical, culture, science, education, media or sports-related purposes and official visits. A traveller can apply for either a single entry visa.

Ukraine Single Entry Visa

Ukraine issues a single-entry visa valid for 30 days to the applicants who want to visit Ukraine. A single-entry visa will permit you to enter Ukrainian territory once and stay for 30 days in Ukraine. This eVisa also has a validity of one month, starting from the date you arrive in Ukraine.

Ukrainian single entry eVisa allows the visa holder a stay of 30 days in Ukraine. This eVisa also has a validity of one month, starting from the date you arrive in Ukraine.

Ukraine Visa Supporting documents

You need to submit the following documents required for Ukraine Visa if you want to apply for a Ukrainian Visa:

  • Travel documents/passport complying with the following requirements:
    • Validity of at least three months after departure from Ukraine.
    • Two blank pages for stamps/marks/visas
    • Not issued for more than ten years.
  • Signed and printed visa application form with 1 35x45mm applicant’s photo
  • Proof that you can afford your stay in the country
  • Proof that you can medically cover your expenses in the country.
  • Receipt of the paid visa fee

Ukraine Visa Application Processing Times

The Ukrainian visa is processed by the Embassies and consulates abroad. It will take up to 5 working days to process the application. In case there are additional checks, the processing time can take up to 30 days.

$$$$ USD is the basic Ukraine visa fee that the Ukrainian Embassy/consulate charges to process your visa application via regular service. The fee may be doubled if you want to have the processing of the e-visa on an urgent basis. Keep in mind that the fees are non-refundable.
