Ukraine business visa, a new option for short-term attachments
After a period of severe crisis, Ukraine has now become a center of tourism, business and investment.
It is for this reason that the Ukrainian government has taken decisions and changed several procedures to facilitate the activity of investors, visitors and businessmen in its territory. It is an option provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine which gives these visitors a single entry business visa in order to be able to complete their business. Citizens of countries outside the 52 concerned must go to the Ukrainian embassy in their country to apply for their business visa.
Note that this short-term business visa will remain valid for up to 60 days.

The Ukraine business visa remains valid 60 days after its acquisition, but when you enter the Ukrainian territory, this visa allows you to stay for a maximum period of 30 days.
It should also be noted that this visa is single entry, it only gives access to the Ukrainian territory once per visa

Business visa Ukraine is issued to:
- Businesspeople or those who own a business
- Sole proprietors
- Executives, directors or foreign companies’ employees
- Individuals who intend to visit Ukraine to seek investment opportunities or hold business negotiations with Ukrainian firms/organizations
Unlike Ukraine tourist visa, the business visa can be multiple-entry travel permit allowing individuals to enter the country multiple times.
With a tourist visa you cannot get appointed for paid employment or study in Ukraine. You will require a work permit to be eligible to work in the country.
It is not permitted by the foreign affairs ministry of Ukraine to extend visas. If there is a valid reason, you may apply for an extension by submitting a application at their local Migration services offices while staying in Ukraine.
There are three types of visas you can apply for according to your purpose of visiting.
- A short-term visa or the type C visa for all kinds of tourism. This type should be used for business visa applications too.
- Long-term. Type D
- Transit Visa. Type B if you're visiting Ukraine because of transit between other countries.
- A photocopy of valid passport: Make sure the passport is valid for a minimum of six months after your date of arrival in Ukraine. There need to be two blank pages available on the passport.
- A recent passport size photo that shows your entire face clearly.
- A paper for proof of residence. A utility bill or identity card will work.
- Evidence to prove that you are working. A certificate or letter from the applicant's employer will suffice.
- For students, a copy of the school identity card is required.
