Is there any fine if I stay in Ukraine longer than the 30 days allowed?
Yes, those who overstay the validity of their visa are liable to be charged a fine of between $19 (510 UAH) up to $32 (850 UAH).
I am a regular visitor to Ukraine. Do I have to provide with all documentation each time I apply?
Yes. You have to provide every supplementary document every time you apply for a visa to Ukraine.
Can the Visa Application Centre send my passport to me once a visa has been issued?
Yes, you can ask the courier service at the time of documents submission to bring your passport to you once it has been issued.
How can I check my Ukraine visa online?
Applicants will be able to check the status of the Ukraine visa online through the updates and notifications sent to the email address provided on the e-visa form.
What is the duration time It take to get an e-visa?
It will take no more than 10 business days to receive the result. But they can be a few days late depending on your purpose of travel, so you must apply at least a month in advance before your departure date.
Do I have to submit my visa application personally, or can another person submit for me?
According to the embassy requirements the rule of personal documents submission applies regardless of the purpose of travel or applicant’s citizenship. Except if it’s a minor applicant whose visa applications will be submitted by one of the parents or legal guardians based on birth certificate or court decision respectively.
Can I send my application form by mail or fax?
The application can be filled online and then printed out or taken in the Visa Application Center. However, the Ukraine embassy must receive original, signed copies of the application forms. But you cannot submit the applications by fax or e-mail.
How hard is it to get a Ukrainian e-visa?
The process of Ukraine e-visa application is very simple and you can get everything completed in less than an hour.
Once your online application form is successfully submitted, relax and continuously check your email to see when they will get back to you (it usually takes about 10 business days for the to respond).
Once your Ukraine e-visa application is being registered, you will get a confirmation email with the title as follows: "Registration of an e-Visa application form". Once you receive this email, it means that someone has looked into your application.
In about 10-20 minutes after receiving the application registration email, another email with the title "e-visa issuance" will come in. This email will contain the result of your e-visa application and if your application is approved, the PDF format of the e-visa will be attached to this email and you are all ready to start travelling to Ukraine.
Can my visa be extended?
Ukraine’s visas cannot be extended. Foreigners who stays in Ukraine upon their visa expiring date may apply for the extension of their stay while in Ukraine through Ukraine’s State Migration Service local offices.

Do I need to send my passport to get a Ukraine visa? Is it safe to send a passport?
Yes. You have to send your actual passport, not a copy of it. The Ukraine visa is stamped on your passport and will be one of your passport pages. Visa request can’t be processed without your original passport. We strongly suggest that you send your application securely, using a traceable courier such as FedEx because of the importance of your passport.
